A few of the Society's responsibilities include providing educational lectures to schools, news programs, and various other organizations, as well as creating and providing a library of reference materials to share. In addition to an extensive library of books, catalogues, pamphlets, and brochures, the Society has developed a museum displaying multiple artifacts and memorabilia representing various decades of Middletown history.
Sponsoring annual and semiannual public events including a Native American Pow Wow and Museum Open Houses, the Middletown Area Historical Society continues to try to provide for the public opportunities to learn about the history of its community.
