The mission of the San Diego Children's Discovery Museum is to inspire children to learn about our world through exploration, imagination, and experimentation.
San Diego Children's Discovery Museum offers a wide variety of hands-on, educational group workshops that immerse students in an engaging environment of exploration and experimentation to promote lifelong learning and discovery. Bring your class, camp, or homeschool group to SDCDM for a one of a kind learning experience!
San Diego Children's Discovery Museum is located in charming Downtown Escondido. When coming for a visit, consider having breakfast or lunch at one of the numerous privately owned restaurants along Grand Avenue or shopping at the many boutiques and shops in the area - all within walking distance. Take some time to stroll through grape day park. There are many unique things to do in the area so make a day of it!
Are available Saturdays and Sunday with room times at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Parties will be customized to your child’s science interest through one of our special themed activities. Children ages 3-11 are perfect for our parties, but we are happy to celebrate with younger and older children as well.
Volunteering at San Diego Children's Discovery Museum is a great way to get involved and give back to your community. By contributing time and expertise, you can learn something new, help others, and most of all have fun! The success of many of our programs depends directly on the efforts of our volunteers. Every year, people—from students to retirees—participate in our volunteer program.
