Mission

To preserve and promote the historic Concord Point Lighthouse and Keeper's Dwelling

History

Concord Point Lighthouse, built in 1827, is the northern-most lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay. Situated at the mouth of the Susquehanna River, the Lighthouse was decomissioned in 1975 and deeded to the City of Havre de Grace. In 1979, a small group of citizens formed the Friends organization in order to restore the endangered lighthouse and preserve it for future generations.
